The landscapes we inhabit have shaped our societies. These landscapes have provided us with the resources we need to survive and thrive. Mountain Landscapes have an added level of complexity for the communities that inhabit them but have also made them more resilient to change, making them withstand strong crises and foster innovation. As we enter the era ofthe Anthropocene, and climate change is drastically affecting the alpine landscapes, these communities face stark challenges. The aim of this research, done as a part of a larger project with a focus on mountain communities and systems oriented design, is to use systemic tools in an endeavour to design regenerative systems for the Norwegian alpine community of Hemsedal.
